CHAFF Walking Arts Trail
2025
It was thrilling to see so many people enjoying this year’s arts trail - the 10th anniversary of this popular event. Thank you to our wonderful sponsors and 31 talented artists who made it happen, and the hundreds of visitors who thronged Cheddar's quiet back streets and lanes to enjoy the art.
“It's so convenient to be able to see so many lovely things exhibited within walking distance, rather than having to drive to each venue.”
Amongst the huge variety of work exhibited were photography, ceramics, painting, sculpture and silver jewellery.

“It's so nice to have the opportunity see a different side of Cheddar on this trail, I didn't know it had so much to offer, in addition to the gorge and caves."
As well as viewing art our visitors enjoyed delicious home-made cakes, a plant sale and a 2nd hand book stall and nearly £1400 was raised for charity.
Many families with children enjoyed the event, perhaps thanks to the super weather but also because of the display of paintings from Axbridge First School. Artist Tilly Mortimore worked with Yr 3 earlier this year and inspired them to produce some really lovely watercolours...the artists of the future no doubt!
We’ll be meeting up for our autumn get-together and AGM in October, if you’d like to be involved in CHAFF 2026, or have ideas or suggestions for us, please contact us at info@cheddarartists.co.uk
